STUDIO USAGE
The TANZKOOP Studio is a barrier-free, fully equipped co-working space for professional dance artists.
With the TANZKOOP studio, the team wants to counteract the lack of work spaces for the dance scene. The number of rooms is still limited and demand is very high. TANZKOOP aims to provide access to more rooms in the future and to support as many artists as possible.
The studio is available to choreographers for production and research-based work free of charge. Due to high demand, reservations can be made according to the following regional and production-related priority criteria:

Located in the center of Braunschweig is the high-quality TANZKOOP studio with 80 square meters of dance and sprung floor, mirrored walls and sound system as well as warm-up areas and lounge areas.
Since its opening in April 2022, it has offered the entire independent dance scene a free workspace for research, rehearsal, and production phases. Intensive workshops with top-class international guest lecturers and artist residencies with work-in-progress showings take place there.
The studio is available rent-free to choreographers for production- and research-based work. Due to high demand, reservations can be made according to the following regional and production-related priority criteria:

Local choreographers developing a new production or preparing an upcoming performance.

Nevertheless, with a view to the sustainable development of the dance scene, the team will consider other aspects to mitigate the consequences of this bottleneck. We value trusting and transparent collaboration with all partners. Therefore, in addition to the criteria listed above, we consider other relevant aspects when considering requests for use of the space:

Please note that we may not be able to respond to last-minute requests in time. If you need to cancel your studio slot, please let us know as soon as possible so we can make the space available to others in time. The space utilization concept is inspired by inter-actions in Heidelberg.
