The TANZKOOP Studio is a low barrier, fully equipped co-working space for professional dance artists.  With the TANZKOOP Studio the team wants to counteract the lack of co-working spaces for the dance scene. There is still a shortage of spaces with a very high demand. TANZKOOP aims to provide access to more spaces in the future and to support as many artists as possible.
 

The rent-free use of the studio is available to choreographers for production and research-based work.  Due to high demand, reservations can be made based on the following regional and production priority criteria:

1. local choreographers developing a new production or preparing an upcoming 
    performance.

2. local choreographers for research-oriented work. 

3. choreographers based in Lower Saxony who are developing a new production or
    preparing an upcoming performance. 

4. choreographers based in Lower Saxony for research-oriented work.

5. choreographers based in Germany or choreographers from the international dance
    scene who are working on a production or an upcoming performance.  

5. choreographers based in Germany or from the international dance scene for research-
    oriented work.

Nevertheless, with regard to a sustainable development of the dance scene, the team will consider further aspects, if necessary, to reduce the consequences of this bottleneck. We rely on a trusting and transparent cooperation with all partners. Therefore, in addition to the above criteria, we consider other relevant aspects when making requests for the use of the space:

• Development perspectives for the future

• Consistency of previous work/established collaborations and funding partners.

If you need to cancel your slot at the studio, please let us know as soon as possible so we can free up the space for others in a timely manner.
